Our history
Vollmin Trees has been providing quality tree sales and service in the Bearspaw and Calgary surrounding areas since 1966.
In 1975, Arnold Friesen, Cole’s grandfather, who had a part in the evolution of the tree spade, purchased the company and ran it as a dependable family business for 20 years before Cole’s father, Dale, purchased the company in 1995.
Dale ran the family business and continued to uphold Vollmin’s solid reputation in the Bearspaw area and surrounding communities for nearly 25 years.

Having grown up working in the business and being involved in the oil patch seasonally, Cole purchased the company from his father in 2019, seeing it as a great way to earn a living while raising his own family.
Like his father and grandfather before him, Cole continues to live and work in the Bearspaw area with the tree nursery as his children's backyard.
